Discussions with too many responses |
|
I usually tend to avoid discussions that already have a high amount of responses. I just think its less likely my post is going to be read, and once there is 50+ responses, there isn't much more to say! Plus the fact MyLot can be slow to load at times, I just generally steer clear of these "overdone" discussions.
What do you think?

1. crispeater (1461) | 3 years ago | I usually avoid discussions with too many reponses too. I don't want repeat what has already been said and it would take too long to check all the other responses.
Having said that, I do sometimes respond if something is really interesting. On a few occasions I've replied to a discussion with over 50 responses and the poster of the discussion has responded back to me.

2. swapnshop (175) | 3 years ago | I agree with this, although there are always exceptions to the rule. If I find a topic really interesting I will respond even if there are 100 responses. It all depends on how interested I am and what I have to say.

3. maddy37 (4288) | 3 years ago | I agree with that and another problem some of these are months old and you may have responded 5-6 weeks ago and with so many topics running through your head you may post for a second time and i understand scrolling through page after page to see if you have posted is very time consuming and i donot care what anyone says time on this site is pressure and spending an hour or so and getting only 5-6 credits takes away from the attraction of mylot and donot let anyone tell you they are not addicted to this site because of the potential of earnings Good Luck Good Post I also avoid those sites with a lot of responses because of what you said as well as my own comments

sechsey (1118) | 3 years ago | But u dont have to scroll at pages to see if uve posted already at soem discussions. U can check at the discussions uve responded page then ul know u already said something there. I kinda go back to it still and see if anyone said something about my opinion, if not that's ok. I also go back if I have some comment on responses even if i didn't start the discussion. I feel like its good because i want to share my opinion anyways.

4. Gruzzle (293) | 3 years ago | I sorta do that. If the post has pages and pages already i won't bother. I don't like to repeat something that some-else may have said and I don't want to go through pages and pages to check. That might be aginst the spirit of Mylot where the topic is more important, but if the topic is interesting and the comments are good then I'll read it regardless. I try to get in on the discussions in the first 5 posts so that my reply is on the first page. You never know how popular your post is going to be and you can't be sure that everybody will read all the posts.

peterw24 (252) | 3 years ago | If I post something I'd just think I'm repeating something too. More than 3 pages is enough to put me off unless its an answer that is unique to me.
