would you be able to forgive your parents?

It was just because they were mad and controlling.

I think you should sit down with your parents and try to get a better understanding of what they were attemping to do. Remember these are the people who brought you into the world and raised you. It may take some time, but forgiving them frees you too.

I didn't think I could or ever would but I did. I went to walmart this weekend and my mom and sister were there and they were in the check out. It must of been meant to happen because I wasn't even going to go to walmart and hubby persuaded me to go haha. Anyway They were checking out, I was standing there with daughter waiting for walmart guys to bring us the treadmill we purchased and I saw my mom and sister. I asked daughter if she seen them and she said no and I said they are right there. I then told her she could go say hi if she wanted. She did and it went from there I guess that is the ice breaker we needed. Yes I was very unsure but thought it was a kind gesture and I had learned that my mom was having a rough time so I made the attempt. Well I did get an apology and a thank you and we have been talked the last couple days for quite a time on the phone. I actually feel better being able to forgive. I know I will never forget but I can forgive and it took some time but I do feel better now. I have not seen my dad and probably won't but my parents are getting divorced now and I guess they are seeing some of what I was put through. Well they may not be seeing but I am seeing it. Maybe some one up above thought we should be together right now and I am not sure what is in store later but I am thankful that I am at peace with my mom at least. I really don't think I will ever be put through that again but I will never let my guard down either! My kids are my life and I will always always fight to the end for my kids:-)
