I started going to a tanner this fall to get rid of the pale and to try not to burn myself. I went for several months and actually didn't burn! But winter is horribly dry here and one day my face said "We're done here" and dried right out and started scaling. So no more tanning and back to ghoul-girl for me.

| marnzie (215) | 3 years ago |  I burn in any condition. It really sucks but on the other hand, i am very conscious of cancers and know that I will always be careful with my skin. I used to get teased for being so pale. Men would walk past me in summer and say "Get a tan Casper" and things like that! It was ridiculous. In Australia, people are so concerned with getting a tan and they don't realise the dangers of skin cancer. I'm happy with my skin- I love that my Swedish heritage has passed on beautiful, pale, healthy, creamy skin.
I also like to compare my skin with Nicole Kidman's- she's gorgeous and doesn't need a tan to look beautiful and healthy!
