The Relentless Song That Repeats & Repeats In Your Head

Oddly enough I generally wake up every morning with some absolutely awful song drumming around in my head .. I've even burst into song on waking up ... I wouldn't mind so much if I could actually sing .. but I am sure I sing as flat as a pancake ..

And the songs are just awful .. just to give you an idea this morning it was ...

*laugh* I love your question! I _constantly_ get songs stuck in my head. Usually it's something that I heard an hour or two earlier that finds it's way into my brain and just won't leave, but other times I get random songs in my head that circle around and around for hours and I can't figure out where they came from. Sometimes I think that it must be pieces of songs in commericals that are playing on the TV while I'm typing that I don't even fully realize I'm 'hearing'*laugh* What is the most frustrating is when I get songs stuck in my head that I only know one or two lines from, though, and those couple of lines go around. And around. And around. And around in my head. For what feels like ages*laugh* And that happens to me quite frequently, to be honest!*laugh*

I get songs stuck in my head all the time. Different songs, and almost always songs I hate. And, they're practically impossible to get out. I try listening to other music, but as soon as I stop, the other songs barge in.

I don't have one particular song I like to get stuck in my head. On the rare occasions I do have a song I like in my head, I just enjoy it while I can.

Too funny! It happens all the time to me. When I hear a song on tv early in the morning it will stick with me all day. And sometimes I catch myself actually singing it outloud. And dont even care. Hey if you cant beat them join them.

i HATE it hen a song gets stuck in my head, because it's usually when im in the middle of something.

no favourites, because having a sond stuck in my head is just not fun.

i had to go through this grueling paper, and it was grueling only because i had a LAME song stuck in my head.

song stickies don't happen very often, but i suggest one not listen to only one song if one listens to something in the morning.

The list is long. Usually, they don't stay in my brain too long. But, because I am around my granddaughter a lot, the song that I can't get rid of is from a Dora cartoon. You know the one that goes...backpack, backpack...on and on...

My favorite is whatever song makes my happy. If it has some energy to it, it qualifies.

After seeing the cell phone commercial (I can't remember which cell phone it is advertising) where the two geeks are singing the wrong words to "Rock The Casbah" that song was stuck in my head for days. I do like that song, but it gets a bit monotonous when you can't get it out of your head.

I get that all the time.

I've been trying to learn the words for a couple of songs, so I've been turning it to my advantage. But I still get weird looks when I'm singing on the bus, along with the music in my head.

Oh gods have I had that happen. You get a song stuck in there and nothing you do will get it out. Sometimes even listening doesn't help. What I do hate more is when I get two songs stuck, a refrain from one which kind of flows into another song's refrain or you have the words to one song but to the music of another. It will drive me nuts. Half the time the only thing that helps is to get another song in there instead. Of course then you have to deal with that one.

Sometimes it's having heard part of it or if it was from a movie if something reminds me of the movie then it gets in there. Other times I couldn't tell you why it's there. Worse is when I wake up with it because then I really have no clue.

Lately the song to get stuck in my head is "I wanna talk about me" from Toby Keith. Now of course I could be mean here and mention the one song that always seems to get stuck in people's heads. If you have ever been to Disney World you know when people have been on the ride because they hum it all day long. "It's a small world after all" :)
