1. TRAK77 (188) | 1 year ago | I have been there done that! I know exactly what you should do. You need to buy yourself a good kennel and kennel train him for at least 18 months. My Jack Russell would not learn any other way and after alot of research on the web I found a great site that explained step by step how to kennel train. It takes so long with little dogs, but it will be well worth it later. They should be in that kennel alot of the day and it stinks to have to see their cute little faces in a cage, but it will stink worse to have a house full of poopoo.

2. angelagomes77 (166) | 1 year ago | All pups are difficult to potty train. My dog took a month before she got it right. She is paper trained as I live in an apartment and for some reason refuses to do her business downstairs. I bought those metal barriers and gave her a space. After she eats, I would place her there and talk to her. There were times she messed up and did it all over the house! But i never whacked her unless i actually caught her in the act. In this instance, I would pick her up and place her on the papers and talk to her. Eventually she got it...thank god!

3. seven7 (247) | 1 year ago | I have a jack russell at home as well. do not that most jack russells reach destructiveness at about seven to eight months of age. they chew anything in sight. my jack russell damaged more than 5 wires, 2 bags, 3 chew toys, and many more. anyways, jack russell are fun to have. although i do not have much advise on how to potty train, i potty train my jack by restricting her to her cage most of the time, so she is paper trained. we did that for about a week, then she is fine.

| 4. lavmadog (55) | 3 months ago | I potty trained(poop and pee)my dogs by using old newspapers. As soon as a dog finishes eating, he will poop. Wrap the poop in a newspaper and place it in a spread newspaper in the corner of your opn yard or garage. Use the same method with the pee, if the dog pees before you can put the old newspapr under him, just wipe the urine with that old newspaper, fold it into smaller piece and put it side by side with the poop wrapped in a newspaper. You will notice that before a dog poops or pees, he will smell around and will always look for newspapers where he can do these calls of nature.Trust me, this method has never failed.
