| Computers For Music production | | | | hi, I've used computers most of my life, pc's over the last 10 years but the depth of componants really confuse me. There's so much choice. I'm currently at a cross roads. I like to make music so I want the best system or atleast what I can afford and I was wondering in your opinions is it better to buy a pc from a store or build one? Which has the longer lasting potential? If i'm making music what is there anything specific I should look for? | | | | | | | | | | Learn to Produce Music Icon Collective- The leaders in Music Production Education www.learn2produce.com

| | Well the main purpose of having a computer for music production is for your DAW (digital audio workstation) and choosing the right computer for you really depends. If you like to use Logic Studio, then go for a MAC as it is where Logic runs. Some other DAW works on MAC too like Pro Tools and Ableton Live. But if you are more of a electronic producer, I say go for a pc and have Fruity Loops studio installed in it. FL studio doesn't run on mac, but it's a good program. Overall it doesn't matter whatever brand you are looking for just always look for a cpu with enough power and memory ( because if they're low in power and memory, your computer will have some crashes in the middle of your production). Always know the right screen size. If you are a mixer or someone more into mastering, then go for a bigger screen. If not, buy two screens. Also, think of software and hardware compatibilities. | | | | | | | | | | Music Production Looking For Music Production? Find It Nearby With Local.com! Local.com | add comment | | | |
