people said that its a flop.was it?

I think TDC was a hit because religion seems to be such a hot topic for discussion. We have things like evolution vs creationism.

The book also came out at the height of the child molesting thing by the priests. The catholic church was already an easy mark and this just fueled the fire.

Some people perceive the bible as true, others as a bunch of stories made up by different people, we have the gospels that have been omitted and then items like the dead sea scrolls.

Now I read all of his books and thought they were great, granted none of them as good as TDC, but certainly better then a lot of books I read. He was in the right place at the right time and hit it big.

A lot of his background info came from Holy Blood, Holy Grail, which was big at the time, but not near as big as his hit.

Don't you think the church added fuel to the fire by telling people not to read his book? I do!

The DA Vinci Code was the only book that I read as I do not like reading that much. Only exception being the romantic novels. I became a Fan of Dan Brown and now that you have given another name I would definitely like to read that. Thank you

hi,oh yes dan brown rocks.all the four of his books are unbelievably good.i loved all his books.and yes digital fortress is also very good.the difference in his writing is that he doesnt limit the view of the story to just the lead character,but he steps into the shoes of each of his characters,telling how they all feel and what they think as the story advances.and the story is extremely fast with something major happening in every chapter.this helps because you are not bored for even a single minute.and hence you feel like you are running along with the characters.and yes digital fortress is also very good,especially the last 30 or so pages where they tackle the worm.

Regarding the Digital fortress,Its extremely informative abotu world of conputers & supercomputers & cybercrime.It has an extremely good buildup like hia all other books.But he missed out on the climax part.

Climax of digital fortress is not as good as that of the angels & demons deception point & TDC .its climax was predictable by others including me.Its biggest blunder was that he made question like "prime difference between...."i dont exactly remember but u know it right.that was a easily guessable question.but excludingit rest was interesting.
