The Rosie and Donald Debacle  | |  I must say that I am truly disappointed that Donald Trump fought back the way he did.
What makes a celebrity a celebrity? Publicity. Positive or negative - it really doesn't matter. Rosie obviously LOVES publicity. And how do you make a celebrity go away? Stop giving said celebrity publicity.
Mr. Trump could have taken the high road. He could have said (in response to the initial set of slams) "You know what? I just don't care what she has to say," and left it at that. The whole thing would have blown over in a matter of minutes, Trump would have looked like a confident man who isn't bothered by nonsense, and our national news networks could go back to covering real news rather than celebrity dribble.
Instead, Trump stooped to Rosie's level with a series of "I know you are but what am I" statements, proving that he loves publicity (positive or otherwise) as much as she does.

Donald was just a rich guy who wanted to be famous and has done everything he can to become famous. The "I know you are but what am I" bit is just more of the same.
