What do you do with your old household stuff which you don't use any more? |
|
Evry year we all end up with adding lots of old stuff that we don't use any more in our house. So what do you do with that things? Do you dump it in trash, or do you donate it, or do you make a yeard sale or sale it in a second hand store?

1. missyd79 (2891) | 3 years ago | i first try to find if someone that i know could use it, if it is still in good shape, if not, i will see if we have room to store it and wait to see if we are going to have a yard sale, if not then i just donate it. if it is not in good shape i throw it out.

5. Qaeyious (1317) | 3 years ago | I had this strange obsession of buying books. I would buy maybe one or two dozen a year. Maybe I would start reading them, but then I would never finish. I now have about two dozeen boxes of partially read books that I didn't give the time to read completely. Now I just buy magazines and graphic novels, but at least I read them. OK, I might buy two or three books a year, and I do read most of them.

6. beautyoperater (1163) | 3 years ago | My stuff gets piled up in the back of cupboards or closets. I have done the yard sale stuff and I try to throw things out but my husband says I can't get rid of it because we may need to use it someday. Yeah right. I have stuff I find I didn't even know I had and I will never use it. LOL

8. wmg2006 (4116) | 3 years ago | I try to hand it down to family members, if they don't want it or need it then I do a yard sale. After the yard sale I donate it to places that are in need. Sometimes if it is nice I make a box and place them in there for gifts to my garbage collectors, light meter reader and paper person. Small gifts go a long way in saying thank you.

10. Willowlady (8982) | 3 years ago | Well currently we don't have many useless though useful things to spare. We do belong to a few freecycle groups. That way useful things find new homes. We also have a free clothing bank that would take the gently used clothing we might have. I also have the option of selling things on Ebay since I have a store there.
