Vans2007 (3) | 3 years ago |  It is only right to be proud without being arrogant.After all,there is nothing wrong in having self respect in the right dose.Only when it is in extra measure does it makes us conceited.In this book I admire the character of Elizabeth Bennete who can be termed as a Proud but not snobbish individual.She has her self respect which is displayed when she is serving her sick sister Jane or when confronted by Mr.Darcy's Aunt.Elizabeth takes much joy in her accomlishments and is truly a worthy individual!

 maribea (1161) | 3 years ago |  well, I think I'm not proud if you mean to have a too high opinion of oneself...but guess I'm becoming proud of myself day by day looking at all the pains I went through and how i tried to cope with them...I'm proud that I've always tried to do my best in life...and I'm trying to teach myself how to take care of me and not to let people make a fool of me...
I think that everything depends on the dose...in media stat virtus...that is...in the middle is the right choice...not too much pride..not too less!
and I agree with vans...you can be proud without being snobbish...but we have to be very careful and pay attention each day

As long as you're not proud about yourself or friends and family, you can't control respect. It acts as a trigger to show your mettel!
It makes you non-self-centered and forceably focuses your line of vision to do things that would uphold your dignity.
So, yes. I'm very proud...except in the occational occasions i forget i'm supposed to be proud...

| 4. sirhomerdabrave (4) | 3 years ago |  Yes and no. I am proud to be the loving father of an incredible son who loves me with all of his heart. He is smart, caring, and strong of character because of how he is being raised. Even though his mother and I are not together anymore, we still agree on his upbringing and how things are done and he is a better person for it. I am also proud of my service as a U. S. Marine. I have pride in the time I served and the service that I provided. I also have great pride in my brother/sister Marines around the world. Oohrah!
I can also say I'm not proud of sometimes where I have been dishonost with people I cared for over stupid reasons. It was not in keeping w/ my character and they are regrets that I will always carry. I do hope that by carrying these regrets I can see and grow from my mistakes, something I try to do each and every day. That would make me proud also.
I have also at times been dishonost w/ myself and let myself believe that things weren't as bad as they really were and it ended up making the problems worse. Had they been addressed early and head on they could have probably been eliminated but due to procrastination stemming from fear, they became major issues that were a lot less easy to solve. Once again these are lessons I hope to learn from.
