Too many toys being neglected | | i noticed that my eldest, having barbie doll almost every year, is not taking care of her dolls. she'd place them anywhere. her other dolls hair would be cut up or other body parts were missing. my other kid, would have a toy almost every time she'd go with her grandparents on mall or in church. she'd got it either from mc donald's or kfc. and the toys will not last for a day either by missing parts or it will be left everywhere. what's the best way to correct their behavior to take care of their toys? barbie is not that cheap and we don't have money everytime that they ask for something.

My suggestion is toss the broken ones, when you see the good ones not being taken care of pick them up and put them in a box and put the box away.
Eventually, I assume the toys will be missed. Explain to the child that the toy must now be earned back. And then give criteria to earn back the toy.
If the toy is treasured it will be cared for better, if not start being more selective in your toy giving

If they are of an age that they can earn money for chores, make them earn money to buy a new toy. Kids tend to treat the toys they buy with their own money better than those that others buy for them. If they continue to misuse their toys, stop buying them altogether. Find something else for them to do. Maybe they need something to advance their creativity. Perhaps art kits are in order.
