Which security system is best: man, dog or machine?  

I think three of them working ok. But for the case of house security, I think build a "low-profile" house would be the best solution. Very “ugly” outside, but very “cozy” inside… A lot of people do this in my country.

I have two big dogs that bark at anything that they sensed. That's it! Inside the house, I have a gun, a maze and and baseball bat!

I would go with the dog, since it does not cost that much at all. And I think the dog will always be loyal to you than a machine would. The machine can go wrong sometimes and you won't know until it is too late.

I'll go with machine. Security is important part of life and your assets and your property. If you would like to improve the security level of your home, the best way is to use video door phones.
