Ways to Avoid getting Fired |
| |
| Most important thing obviously is work when you are at work. Taking a lot of personal calls, surfing the Internet and prolonged visiting with coworkers is not what you want your boss to know. Be on time, don't abuse breaks or lengthen the lunch hour. Consider your work hours primarily the property of your employer. Take any office training or education opportunities presented. Read books related to your field to improve your office career. No one ever got fired for seeking career training or learning new word processing software. Sometimes it's frustrating to deal with employees who have an "It's not my job" attitude. If you see something that needs to be done, just do it! Show intiativaty and show your boos that your responsible. Help a coworker, teamwork is really important, make sure that project gets completed. Get Along with Others. Bosses don't want to play referee with employees. | | | | | |

| | I would definately need to agree on all points mentioned. I am a warehouse manager and the people that work for me respect me and don't abuse the things given to them. I, in-turn, offer them paid lunches, extended break periods and chat time. It is a great working relationship I have created and I end up enjoying it myself because of the rewards I receive from them as well. | | | | | | |
