Buying Presents For Elderly Parents, What do you buy yours?  

Does he have any special hobbies? Maybe take him out just the 2 of you for a special day together. Movie and lunch or dinner. Time with him is probably the best present, he probably doesn't need anything. Maybe having your picture taken with him.

when i was young,about 15years old,i always buy a note for him.because he have a lot of friends phonenumber and he have no time to buy one.i buy for him when i find its broken.my father is glad.now when my father got his 60 birthday i didnt give him gift,but i say "happy birthday to you" and send a birthdaycake.in my family we dont say the words.i think these is enough.i have no money to buy a gift.i know my father is glad.i think the most our parents want is their children have a goodday.you may buy him something little but value as gift

My parents are quite easy. Mom reads alot and so mysteries like the Cat Who books are a favorite. Dad likes Betty Boop and Westerns, W.C. Fields and things to nibble on. So now if there is anythin I would not normally buy, my Mom lets me know. We exchange lists of things we would like and so we always have an idea of what to buy!!!

hi i'm not really innovative with gifts ideas i give my parents the usual - clothes,perfumes,cards,cakes (once a trip) etc etc.. But one thing your dad should like is a gold ring (everyone likes gold. lol.) if you cannot afford it right now- maybe a gold cuffling or something ?

I used to buy clothes, aftershave /perfume etc for my parents. Sadly my dad is not with us anymore and all the stuff I bought for my mum doesnt really get used much. Now on my mums birthday or at Christmas I dont buy anything. Instead I take her out for dinner or to a show or somewhere she would like to go and we have a bit of a girly day. Its my treat to her financially but the real gift is spending time with her and making memories which she enjoys and appreciates a lot more than any diamond ring or expensive perfume.

He does not need anything from you but you. Just be there and say i love you is enough. Thats all i ask from my kids is be around and let me watch my grandkids grow up.

I was raised as my grandfather like my father figure. I every year try and get him something that he is very into. For Christmas I got him and my grandmother family pictures. For his birthday this year we are throwing him a 70th bday party and getting this plane tickets to come see us where we are stationed at.

go to his house,take him out u can buy him what he really wish or ,,arrange a pilgrimage tour for him,,,or,,,present him a digital camera,,,or some nice clothes to wear,,,or diamond ring can do

Give something such that they can remember you for life long i think a gift like nice party in your house only without notice of them and give them surprise so that they ll feel proud of you.
