what is the proper way to load a student in a motorized wheel chair on a school bus lift? Facing the bus or away from the bus, or does it matter? IT IS VERY DIFFICULT for this young lady to back her chair onto the lift. She can pull it on front wards perfect. Is this dangerous?

Yes, this is dangerous. You need to load with the heaviest part of the wheelchair to the back, otherwise you run the risk of it rolling off backwards while loading. My wife has experience with school buses and loading handicapped students on it in wheelchairs. I have been the van driver for a nursing home, also. I have had to load motorized wheelchairs into the van several times. I hope this helps you. Safety is the first concern.
