how much would you spend for your baby's party? |
|
being in the kiddie party business myself, i had clients who were willing to spend more than PHP100,000 (around $2,000)just for a 1st bday party. it's as grand as a wedding. how about you, how much are you willing to spend for the birthday party of your baby? btw, you can check my link at http://community.webshots.com/user/yanple

1. lafavorito (2493) | 3 years ago | I saw your photos and it looks great! On our wedding we spent Php250,000/ $5,100 though I can't seem to think that we would spend Php100,000/ $2,000 for a 1st birthday where the celebrant will not remember anything. The most we can spend for a birthday party will be Php40,000 - 50,000/ $800 - 1000 when our son turns 7 years old.
Good luck on your business by the way!

yanple (131) | 3 years ago | $100 is just around PHP5,000 here in our country. and that amount will surely fall short even for a Jollibee or McDo party here (for atleast 50pax).

3. tigerdragon (2993) | 3 years ago | I DON'T HAVE A BABY YET BUT IF I HAVE A BABY AND I HAVE THE RESOURCES, ON HER FIRST YEAR BIRTHDAY I WOULD PROBABLY SPEND THE SAME AMOUNT OR EVEN HIGHER BECAUSE IT'S ONE MEMORY THAT HE/SHE WOULD FORGET .SO, IT HAS TO BE GRAND AS POSSIBLE SO BY THE TIME HE/SHE HAS GROWN UP, SHE COULD LOOK BACK AND EXPERIENCE THE EXCITEMENT.BUT IT ALL DEPENDS ON HOW MUCH DO YOU HAVE TO SPEND FOR A PARTY.

4. crystal8577 (1403) | 3 years ago | I think 1st parties are more for the parents & adults that the baby. The baby would not know if you even celebrated or not. That being said I would have a small party at home. I don't think I would spend more than $100.00 USD including food, presents & all. As the child gets older & can appreciate it more than I would spend more.

5. yamiboo (313) | 3 years ago | For my daughter's first birthday party two years ago, we spent around PhP 75,000.00 (approximately $1,500) for most of it (caterers, food carts, magician, game prizes, lootbag items, pinata, balloons, mascot, 8x6 ft. personalized banner, invites, etc.) plus additional for some stuff bought by my mom when she went to the US (Themed plates, cups, spoons, table cloths, banners, etc.).
My son is turning one this year and when I discussed party budgets with my husband, I don't think we'll be able to spend as much as my daughter's first bday party. Highest we could probably go this year would be around PhP50,000.00 ($1,000).

yanple (131) | 3 years ago | i guess that's the trend now, a bigger budget for a better party. because in order to get quality performance here in manila, you really need to spend a little more than the usual. as i always tell my clients, i hope you'll be able to resist temptations (hi-end magicians, game booths, inflatables, etc.) and stick to your budget.=)

6. fluffyfrog (2613) | 3 years ago | That is crazy! The party is really for the parents anyway since the baby cannot remember the event. I loaded up on cheap balloons and banners for decorations and I made her cake. It was a lot more special to me and to do it all yourself.

8. ethanmama (1031) | 3 years ago | Hi, Apple! We spent about Php20K (approx USD400) for I think 200 people on the guest list. I would have wanted to spend less except that this was a first grandchild and we had so many relatives and friends. I think the next party my son will be having will a close family only affair.
| |
| |
|
|
yanple (131) | 3 years ago | really, $400 for 200 guests?! wow, how simple was that? and upon doing the math, that would be P100/guest only, including food and everything. congrats!
| |
|
|
ethanmama (1031) | 3 years ago | Yep, just spent around that amount. It was a McDo party. So I didn't have to spend for the entertainment, the place and decors. I just went for the bare essentials. I needed to keep within the budget kasi eh. Didn't want to end up in debt just because of a party. I MIGHT have splurged more if we had more money at that time. But at that time, I really wanted to spend as little as possible.

9. burieks (117) | 3 years ago | hi! my son will turn one this september and i'm really looking forward to it. i'm planning and searching for suppliers as early as now since my budget is P50,000 or $1000. i would love to spend more for his birthday but i don't think it's practical to spend a big amount of money. i just have to think of ways to make sure that he will still enjoy and be happy on his birthday.

| 10. aulivsk (16) | 3 years ago | hi apple...when our son turned 1, we spent around $2000 for his birthday party/dedication day and had around 100 guests. the reason for spending that much was we opted to get the full catering services so that we can mingle with our guests. when he turns 2, it will be a simple birthday celebration with just close friends and a budget of $500.00 no more no less.

yanple (131) | 3 years ago | yup, you're right. it's best to hire good people who will take care of your party. so you can atleast enjoy it as well and not be busy with every details of the party. we are also planning my son's 2nd bday. and i'm trying to have a simple one this time. i'm pegging my budget at $600, cross-fingers!=)
