26th Jan , Today is our republic day. Any patriotic Indians here???  

Exactly 56 years ago, our fore bearers of freedom declared this nation a democratic republic on 26th Jan , Year 1950. Little they could see but hope for a bright future. Today it is a mixed bag where we write our software success story , the scourge of terrorism on the other, a rich middle class with ever increasing spending power or farmer's suicides due to astute poverty, the rising crime graph to people's movement for justice, not able to decide whether we are a vibrant democracy or still in shackles of an old political guard that is corrupt and ruts the system.
