Corruption, per se, is not peculiar to the Philippines alone. But to answer your question, it can only be minimized and not completely eradicated. The Philippine government, I understand, hired a consultant who did a commendable job in Hongkong.
let's start off with you...yes, I mean you, not the person peering over your shoulder.
Stop the practice of inviting politicians as principal sponsors whenever your son, daughter, or any other relative is about to be wed or baptized,
Why? you might say, well, imagine if there are dozens of you in your district or community with the same thought in mind, where does the poor politician get his funds for the gifts?
Don't go to your mayor, congressman, or governor(who happens to be one of the principal sponsors of your son's/daughter's wedding)to intercede in your behalf whenever you want to do business with a private business firm.
Don't sell your vote...once you do, you lose the moral high ground.
I could go on and on ...but you get the drift.
No offense meant. But my point is, if we want genuine change, we have to start with ourselves.

corruption isl ike a disease that can strike any parts of the world - not only in the Phils. it is up to these govenment officials to eradicate such wrongdoings. it is their responsibility to themselves, to their constituents, and to God. change must come within them.
