| Soft Drinks at colleges  | | | |  It has been a recent trend in many colleges to ban soft drinks i.e. the colas on basis of good health and general public interest.
Recently a state in india has imposed complete ban on sale of cold drinks in school canteens. Do you think this form of dictation on what is healthy or not (by government) justified or should individuals be the judge of what is suitable for them.
Why not let people (or the parents of kids) decide what they should drink or not!!!!!!!

| |  I also hear that news. Soft drinks will make so much of issues all over the world, so much of vdos and magazine proved it. But iam not sure! anyway as a precaution i stop using it, and now i drink only coconut or fruit juice.

Well my answer to your question is that YES!!! if govt. feels that something is messing up the citizens, it has to take steps towards its betterment.
Im a Pakistani & as a developing country, i feel that our people are far behind in terms of education which is a necessary thing in understanding what is right & what is wrong...
Im a doctor & i can surely confirm what hazzards these soft drinks can cause on our body for long term use.
So i say it should be banned in schools atleast so that the young generation is healthy at the end of the day..

| |  I think on school level its ok if its banned....
And on College level if govt feel sumthng isnt good for the growing age boys or girls,its ok if its banned.
This news I am hearing from U abt India's state.
