Diana Ross said before she goes on tour this May, she is coming on American Idol to be a mentor. I do recall a few seasons back where Simon said that Diana Ross has "top star stage presence" but she was never the best singer from the Supremes. Do you agree?

Hahahahahahha Oh come on tsgirl, you know who she is. Your just pulling my leg.
As a solo artist, Diana Ross is one of the most successful female singers of the rock era. If you factor in her work as the lead singer of the Supremes in the '60s, she may be the most successful. With the Supremes, later renamed "Diana Ross and the Supremes," the group scored 12 number one pop hits. Soon after, Ross launched a solo career. With the major success of her singing career, Ross branched out into acting and was nominated for an Academy Award. And, in '93, The Guinesss Book of World Records jointly awarded her with its Lifetime Achievement Award and the title of 'most successful female vocalist of all time'. In a remarkable career spanning over 40 years, Diana Ross has proven herself the most consummate music artist, as well as one of the most iconic female singers of all time. She recently released her first studio album in over 7 years, I Love You.

I am a huge fan and I believe that she was the best singer from the Supremes. I think her persona and beautiful stage catapulted her beyond her peers in the supremes. I don't think anyone can deny her vocal talent. I will look forward to seeing her put Mr. Cowell in his place on "Idol".

Well I look forward to seeing her on there with good old Simon Cowell, I hope she puts him in his place when he gets too rude. She's a great singer but then so are the others and I've got to admit I haven't heard her for such a long time. When I was younger I used to collect her records, yeh records, but I don't have a stereo system to play them on any more. Oh how life moves on.
