Hi, we have a 1 yr old pyreneese who is the love of the family. We got him when he was 4 months for my kids when my husband was being deployed. Shortly after that he had seizures and we got through that. I had him trained and all was well but when the baby was born and the hubby came home the training has went out the door. Now he thinks that my living room is his personal potty area...I have tried all the products and the training tips I can but nothing seems to work He is very large as well....he is face to face with me when on his hind legs (im 5'9'') and he weighs about 100 pounds now...Husband says if I cnat break him he has to go..dont want to break the kids hearts nor mine...Any help would greatly be appreciated. THANK YOU

your dog is just like a child. how funny. he is jealous of the baby and he is just acting out for attention. i have an akita and she would chew up the baby toys after my daughter was born. it eventually passes. in your dogs mind he probably thinks that if he pees on the floor that you will blame the baby. they do that whenever you bring in a new dog also. i guess the easiest way to break him from this is to take him for walks as a family. put the baby in a stroller and just go for a walk. good luck with this problem. but i am pretty certain it is just out of jealousy and it will soon pass.

thanks for the post. we recently went on vacation and the dog stayed at my parents...guess what... not one incident of the behavior happened and my parents have two other dogs... So I think that you are right and he is just jealous... he is getting better now that the baby is walking and playing with him.
