Interest in drawing as a hobby.........but find it boring sometimes???

I like to draw to I love to see the outcome of what I draw and how good I can do it. But I also find I have to be in the mood for it, or else I dont have to time for it. I would love to be a more know artist and get into the business of selling my art work, that would be one of my ideal dreams.

I'm the same way. I used to draw all the time when I was constantly taking classes in college. But now, with work, I find that after work I'm just too tired to pick up a pencil and start drawing. I have to be in the right mood, and coming home from a long day at work often isn't that mood I want to be in. When I worked at Disney, I used to actually go to their Animation Studio to take their "classes" where they would "teach" you how to draw certain characters in 10 minutes. That was often a stress reliever for me. I would sometimes sit in on 3 or 4 classes in a row.

Its important to draw whenever you get a second,maybe sketch a face whwn you are on the bus, or a tre during your lunchbreak. Maybe tell yourself you will only draw for 2 minutes at a time, keep it quick and sharp and see what you can achieve. Its constant practice that makes a good sketch artist and even short practice sessions helps

I also find that although i like drawing, I feel i have to be in the mood to do so

Im exactly the same... i love to draw... but i am more of a fashion drawer than a sketcher although i do love that too! i have always been a keen artist... although college bored me when i did it... now i have the spare time to do it i dont as much... only when i have the urge to pick up a pencil or pen... sometimes i find my active interest stems from a dream i have and my want to recreate it... again mainly with my ideas of my own fashion designs that i can afford to make by jazzin up what clothes i have... i wait and dont push the want... i wait for the want to push me so much that i just have to pick up a pencil and draw ... i also find when i am stressed out just doodling on a piece of paper which turns into hours of drawing for me!

well u shd not do anything forcefully just bcoz u wanna do it doesnt makes sense.if its ur hobby...nd u love it u'll get time for it automatically..otherwise leave it.
