Bewitched or I Dream of Jeanie...

I would have the powers of Elizabeth Montgomery, the star of Bewitched, as she was on the air longer meaning more time to use her powers. 1964 was a great year when the show started and Samantha has a great way to travel and see many places.

Well, I always wanted to be Samantha. I still would Love to be here, and use her powers especially when it comes to House cleaning. Would it not be nice to be able to wrinkle your nose and have a Clean spotless house, dinner cooked, etc. and then have the rest of the time to relax and enjoy life?

I never saw the new movies only the old series, I have to say I loved both shows, I thought barbara eden was beautiful, and I loved samantha montgomery, I just don't know which I would choose, in terms of magic, but I know I certainly wouldn't want to live in a bottle.

How odd, my secretary and I were discussing Samantha vs Jeanie just this morning and now I come home and find this post (even though it is three weeks old.) She generously offered to let me be Jeanie, but I think Samantha would be cooler. Jeanie, perhaps because of cultural differences, always seemed to mess up with her magic. Sam, on the other hand, had it under control, it was usually other witches' (and warlocks') messes she was cleaning up. Besides, I can twitch my nose too.

I would have to say I would want to be Bewitched. Samantha seemed to do more for me back then. And she did not have to live in a bottle! Good question! Take care...

Wow, that brings back memories, I used to watch Bewitched as a child, although I haven't seen the recent film with Nicole Kidman (makes a note to look out for it on Sky) anyhow I would definitely be was it Samantha played by Elizabeth Montgomery? With her husband Darren, wow my memory is good. Just wiggle my nose and hey presto, would save all those wasted hours doing housework. To be honest I've never seen Jeanie so it would have to be Bewitched for me.

I think I would rather be samantha because I am sure she could grant wishes as well.I think her magic is much powerful.Dont get me wrong I love Jeanie to,but rather have samantha powers.lol

hmmmmm interesting dilemma. I need to have Jeannie's Body- and Samantha's powers..... but then again with Samamtha's powers I could have whatever I wanted right? Both of the shows were a part of my childhood. I loved them both. It was entertainment at it's best. It was a family night in front of our great big 19 inch TV with Popcorn and plenty of laughs. We only had one TV and we were happy to have it.

I think Samantha had more magic or at least more power then Jeannie. Jeannie was capable of doing anything but due to the fact that she was restrained by the bottle and her master's wishes it held her back. Samantha may have been held back by Darrin but not that much. If she wanted to do something she did it and was quite capable of it.

Well I guess mine would be Bewitched as I haven't really seen many of the 'I dream of Jeanie' programs and I never like Steve Austin or whatever his name is anyway! I always wanted to be like her off Bewitched (sorry her names eludes me at the moment)!

I would be Samantha, not just do I think her powers were better but Jeannie was such an air head.And I do not want to run around in a harem suit HA HA just kidding. All in all I think Sam had better powers. They made a movie on Bewitched I wonder if we will see a I Dream Of Jeannie movie next.

I would have to go with Bewitched. There are times I wished I had her powers. lol My daugher who is 8yrs old loves both shows as well as Jeffersons, Rosanna, Sanford and Son. She never really knew these shows exsisted till a few months ago when I downgraded my Dish Network to locals only. Now she doesn't like to miss 'her' shows. lol

I used to be a fan of both shows...and loved both..both women had a special magic about them..I have to admit I would love to twitch my nose, and the whole apartment would be clean..twitch my nose...dinner cooked...twitch my nose the laundry done...and snap my fingers and apparate to another place...hey, maybe that's how JK Rowling of the Harry Potter books got the idea...of disappearing and appearing somewhere else!

Well growing up I always wanted to be Tabitha (Bewitched's daughter) until I got older and then thought Jeanie had it all going for her! LOL Although Bewitched's powers seemed a bit more accurate. Jeanie somehow always managed to goof up! LOL So I guess Bewitch.

What a great discussion and I use to watch them shows all the time I didnt miss a one. I bewitched had the beter powers. But I think I would like to be Jeanie I thought it was so neat to live in a bottle. LOL

BEWITCHED!!! Samantha Stevens outdoes Jeannie anyday. You need a strong will and much intelligence to handle the magic and situations Samatha got into. Jeannie's blonde fluff brain would have her runnning back into the bottle!

BEWITCHED definately!!! it was soooo cool!! i never missed an episode!! wish i could have her superpowers.....i ll use it only for the good...promise!! wink wink!!
