One of the greatest things I learned as an adult in business was to "lead by example". I believe setting a good example not only gives us strength but passes that strength onto others.

Yes, I am a woman of God and also a woman of strength. I know that women are naturally very powerful and have always been the backbone of societies, even in eras when women were not allowed to speak in public or allegedly have opinions about daily matters. Some examples are: Biblical characters - Eve, Sarah, Rachel, prophetess Deborah; Nancy Ragan, Barbara Bush, Hillary Clinton, etc. Did you know that womanhood is very different from motherhood? I strongly believe that women need to learn how to be women first before being a mothers; a concept that is very misunderstood today in almost all societies. A woman does not have to be a mother in order to be a woman.

I think I am a strong woman, too. I'm financially independent, have 2 college degrees and take good care of myself. but being a good Role Model is what really counts, and to me, that's what truly makes you a strong woman! Setting a positive example for other women is more rewarding than anything I have ever done.

Hi queenajasmina, I think I'm a strong woman, i've brought up a child on my own, battled with a numerous amount of demons, done exceptionally well in my career in a male dominated industry and now run my own company. It's great that you do well in school and keep up the good work in being a role model for your younger sisters!

When I was young I was not a strong woman. I let men dominate me and influence my every move. By the time I was 24 I had birthed 5 babies, had 4 miscarriages, 1 therapeautic abortion (I was pregnant with 5 fetuses and I only weighed 82#, I was not going to live through the pregnancy), and had a complete hysterectomy. That was a lot for such a young woman. I made a lot of wrong choices; but Queen, I have a 4 beautiful daughters and 6 terrific grandchildren now, so I can't say that anything that I did I regret. I did not become a strong woman until my mother stopped walking the earth in her form. Until then, she was my rock. She was the woman that I knew I could always depend on. She was the strong one. She was my champiion. She was gone when I was 35. It was time for me to "Woman Up". Oh, before that I had attended the feminist rallies, I had done several strong things, I had worked in a male dominated job and survived it; but all of the things that I had accomplised before that, had been accomplished with her to either jeer or cheer me on. Until I became physically disabled about 8 years ago I was totally stong. I could stand and do battle with any obstacle that was thrown my way. There was nothing that could stop me from defending others and self. I was Woman. I was Powerful. I could give and give and give and never wear out. Then, the pain hit me. I tried to ignore it - it would not let go of me. It continued to do battle with me. It roared much louder than I could have imagined. Eventually the Strong Woman in me gave in to it. I now sit at the computer and answer questions such as, "Am I a Strong Woman" for money, and weep at the passing of the stong woman that once was. ~Donna

I think I am also. I go to school, am a single mother of 3 boys. And always try to think and do positive things as a role model to my sisters and kids.
