Evil Dead, Evil Dead II or Army of Darkness?  |

 Which of the three is your favorite? The first one seemed a bit hokey for my taste but I can still watch Evil Dead II over and over and laugh my butt off.
Do you ever get the feeling that they just don't make horror movies like this anymore? To me there are so many small things in the film that make it an incredible view. Things like when Ash cuts off his hand and traps it under the paint can, the book on top of it is "A Farewell To Arms".

While Evil Dead has its merits and Army of Darkness has some hilarious lines and scenes, Evil Dead II is the best. It is more or less a remake, so to speak, of the first, which I think was a low budget college flick?
It has some of the best (classic) Sam Raimi camera effects.
It's great that you caught that book title, that's one of the funniest parts of that scene!

The first time I watched Bruce Campbell was in Brisco County (which I'm netflixing now!!). Since then, I've been a big fan of his... There is just something about him. I saw Evil Dead I not long after I saw number II and I wasn't crazy about the first one but number two was creepy and funny at the same time. Army of Darkness though... I LOVED that movie. My husband on the other hand LOVES Evil Dead series. His favorite is the first one as well. He loves those types of movies too. He really loved Slither that just came out. It's pretty campy like that. Although I thought it was funny - it had zombies and I hate zombies. He liked Feast too. | |

| 8. Angrykitty (1015) | 3 years ago |  I thnk I have watched Army of Darkness the most because that is the one they always play on Sci-Fi channel. It has been a long time since I saw either of the first 2 Evil Deads but Army of Darkness airs a few times a year and I love it.
I love Bruce Campbell, I loves him as Autolocus, King of Theives, in the Xena and Hercules TV series. I've seen him in a few of the Sci-Fi original movies as well.
He is just so funny. My husband likes the Evil Dead video games that are out, and they are all voiced by Bruce, so I like to watch hubby play them so I can hear all the one-liners. LOL
He also is the voice of Pitfall Harry Jr. in the playstation Pitfall Game. That game was a remake of the old Atari game and Bruce is just so much fun in it!

But, I'll redeem myself...
I bought my husband a ticket to go see THE EVIL DEAD - THE MUSICAL on off-broadway in December.... we went into the city and he went with a friend to the show, and I went with my friend (his friend's wife) to a pub and we got drunk LOL!
