Tom Hanks!

There are a few actors and actresses that seem to pick good movies to be in because you can be sure that if they are in a movie it will be an above average movie....like Kathy Bates, yes I like the movies the Tom Hanks is in, he is a good actor.

Tom Hanks is such a versatile actor. He has proven that he is a true actor in every sense of the word. He has played a variety of roles. He becomes the character he portrays. One of my favorite movies that I have seen many times was "Big". I laughed more from the scenes in this movie. He really was a young boy in a man's body. From the moment he realized he was big to the moment he realized he wanted to be a kid again, you laughed and laughed, and cried.

I also admire Tom Hanks and his movie Forrest Gump (my favorite), but my favorite hollywood actor is Jim Carrey coz he's so talented and hilarious. I love all his filmS especially The Mask lol and Lemony Snicket's A Series Of Unfortunate Events.

Tom Hanks was my never in my list many years ago,. BuT now he is the Hero in my list.. I have watched " Catch Me IF you Can' and I found out that he is a real Hero.

I think Tom Hanks is a very versatile actor. I love how he just doesn't do one type of movie. Instead he likes to explore different topics or different genres by playing characters that may be something he hasn't done before. I as well love how he can do funny, serious, romance, etc .

I grew up with a lot of his old movies from the 80's. I think I'm a big fan of him now because of this reason. The movies I've seen him in and really enjoyed him in are as follows: The Burbs, Big, Forrest Gump, Splash, Turner & Hooch, You've Got Mail and Sleepless In Seattle.

In each of those movies he plays such unique characters that I see him always trying to infuse the roles with a bit of who he actually is. I think that's why he's such a great actor is he's able to bring a feeling of realism to each role he plays. He's able to also inject the role with a bit of his true self which helps to make the characters more lovable and more relatable in the end.

I absolutely love the movie he did called "The Burbs". Each person in that film plays their part so well that in the end you get a hilarious movie full of crazy goofballs trying to investigate the new neighbors in the neighborhood. The ending part where Tom Hanks's character flips out on his neighbor friend, I thought that was just absolutely hilarious.

I thought that the movie "Turner & Hooch" was another one of his best movies. The way his character plays off that huge mastiff "Hooch" is so precious. You can totally tell early on in their on screen relationship that Turner really does care about Hooch, although he has a funny way of showing it. When Hooch destroys Turner's entire house and then pulls the beers out of the fridge and gets drunk on them.... Geez, I thought that was a hilarious scene that I can still laugh at every time I watch it.

Of course Forrest Gump really did impress me because I didn't think during the entire movie that it was Tom Hanks playing Forrest gump. I was watching Forrest Gump, plain and simple. Tom Hanks ceased to exist for that whole movie. He was so believable as Forrest that Tom Hanks completely disappeared. It's not to often you get an actor submerging himself in a role like that.

So, in conclusion, those are just a few movies that I like that he has stared in. I just wish he'd pick more roles like he had made in the 80s. I feel some of those movies are the best he has come out with.

Tom Hanks is definitely one of my favorite actors. I love The Money Pit, Forrest Gump, You've Got Mail, Sleepless in Seattle... the list goes on and on! There are very few actors of his calibur, who can pull off both comedy and drama to perfection.
