Protest of Parent on DANIEL RADCLIFFE (Harry Potter)!! Can it be justified?

I agree he is allowed to take what roles he wants. Yes kids look up to him but they look up more to his character of Harry Potter. Most kids will not be watching EQUUS so why would it matter? Many actors protray many different roles, it's part of acting. It shouldn't change who they are. Sometimes doing a very different role from what they are known for can really boost their career. Look at Kurt Russell with Escape From New York, he played someone very different from what he was known for and allowed him to get more roles because of it. Daniel Radcliffee is allowed to do the same thing.

Child actors and actresses grow up. Are we to deny them a way to make a living in their trade because it doesn't fit into what people think they should do?? Can you imagine the general public being able to decide what job you can take!!!

Yes he is an actor with the rights just as any other actor. It is his choice what roles he does or does not take on. But it would be nice if someone somewhere in that business that all of our children closely watch and imitate would step up and be a roll model with morals and self respect and that sort. Even though they are not obligated in any way to the children in the audiences, they do know that they admire them and want to be just like them and copy their ways. Its a moral choice and it is their choice.
