Parents angry as Harry Potter strips

Because heaven forbid an actor have more than one role. Daniel Radcliffe is an actor. He's of legal age. He can take whatever parts he wants. He is not bound by some bizarre sense of morality as dictated by random parents he doesn't know. Hundreds of actors who've acted in kid-friendly movies have done adult roles. It's acting! Not everything in the world is created solely for the purpose of sugar coating the world for children.

Why are these parent's eight year old children even*aware* of an adult British play, anyway?

It is amazing that these parents can't control what their childrn see. Especially a 9 yo.
Maybe people should learn that nudity is a normal part of life, it is our society that has made it ugly.

I don't see why they should get angry. Daniel just wants to prove to himself and everybody that he can portray other roles. He does not want to be typecasted as Harry Potter. Let him grow up please.

Some people need to realize that just because they are actors or celebrities does not mean they have to answer to every single person. They have lives and have a right to protray whomever they would like to. He's got a chance to do something different, let him. It's his right to do so. He's not breaking any laws, he's working. You would think that a role model that works would be good. That he's willing to take a chance in order to get other jobs. That to me is a good thing. The parents need to control their children, decide what they see and don't and let the actors lead their own lives.

In the US, I think this would constitute child pornography, even though he's doing it willingly. I guess it's different in the UK.

I guess if he's comfortable doing it, and his parents are ok with him doing it, there's no problem. He certainly looks as if he has a great body to show off. More power to him. It's not like he's doing anything hard core. It'll definately prove that he's capable of doing acting other than Harry Potter.

OMG....He is not Harry Potter. Harry Potter is a fictional character. It is great that this young man is able to break the mold and do other work. Many times actors get typecast and are not considered for other roles.

This role he is in now is meant to entertain a much older audience. Did the parents bring the 9 year old child to see an adult play? Get with it.

Wow. I was really shocked to read this. I don't have any kids, so the pictures really don't bother me personally. He's actually kind of a looker for 17 lol. But he's an icon to children. Granted, a lot of children icons are even worse. Maybe parents should put up blocks so that their children can't see it. I really don't know.

every actor need to play different roles; but if the society judged an actor it's gonna be unfair. Every actor grows, so must be aware of this so cope up to the coming image that actor will portrait.

Teach our kids, that Harry Potter is not a kid anymore. And soon another Harry Potter will take our his Broom.

i think Daniel is growing as an actor. he's no longer a kid anymore so he decided to take mature and more daring roles. that's just pretty normal for an actor. but im sure that those kids who look up to him as "harry potter" would be disappointed. anyway, they would just think that harry has already grown up and responding to the demands of the real world.
