In USA Democracy yields positive results,In India democracy gives negative

I really don't know the ins and out of India's political and social systems. I only have a vague knowledge of them. I don't know if democracy is negative or not in India. I know that India is an entirely different country with different religions, culture, and ideas on what democracy is. It also has different resources and that can also affect democracy. So, in short, I can't really compare the two countries in any way.
