At christmas time I was given Final Fantasy XII for my playstation 2. I started to play and I have my own particular play style, I would wander around and check everything out and see about getting everything I can before continuing on in the story line, now after I got hooked on the game I got my room mate into it to and she has found herself about as addicted to it as I am and with much playing found herself ahead of me in the story line and wasn't sure what to do next... knowing I had been playing it a while she asked what to do next and of course I had no idea as she had tried to progress farther into the story line rather than take the scenic route. Anyways we got into a discussion I felt would be worth sharing here Games nowadays have so much more to them than they used to with final fantasy for example it has so many more optios for so many more different tastes. You can run through the game and rush straight to your ultamite goal or you can take your time and look around finding all the cool stuff and the secondary story lines and missions. Even the battle mode can be customized its a complete realtime battle, you are walking around and occationally wander into an enemy and you actually know here they are rather than walking aimlessly and having it just pop up wherever you might be and you can change in your settings weather you want them to wait for you before attacking or if they are to attack while you browse the battle menu. To make the battle mode even more complicated and very well thought out I might add, you can set your own difficulty of the battle with the gambit system. You can actually decide if you want your entire party to sit arond and wait for your each individual command or you can have them think for themselves and only once in a while will you have to give them a new command that will get them to do something specific thus making it a "no-brainer" type game where you just walk up and everyone does everything for you so you just have to sit back and watch... Im curious with all the new customizations in games nowadays, how do you play your games?
