Have you ever ordered something on ebay and not told your hubby?  

I think the two of you may need to sit down & have a talk about this. I don't think it's right that he goes & takes money that is both of yours & goes & uses it to gamble. And then doesn't allow you to buy the things you like as well. I think there needs to be some-what of a happy medium in your relationship. I think it's only proper though to if one purchases themselves something, that the other should be able to buy themselves something in return to.

I don't understand why he doesn't allow you to get things when he does it all the time. I think the two of you just need to talk about this & tell him how this isn't very fair if one gets something & the other doesn't. It seems he's only thinking of his own selfish needs, no offense. He should be thinking of the two of you since it's both of your money. Does he gamble on a regular basis?! As this isn't healthy as well since he is spending the money that could maybe be used to purchase some of the things you both may need at the time.

I know I collect dolls as well.. But I do not hide things from my other half when I decide to purchase them.. And my other half know's that to.. Usually we will talk about things before we just go ahead & purchase things.. We usually have a budget as well so if one is wanting something or needing something we will try to budget in advance so that we get the things we may want or need at the time.

And usually if I am wanting to purchase one of the dolls that I collect from online.. Then he will go & purchase something that he needs as well.. Whether that be a pair of new sweat pants or socks or whatever.. Just so it's fair & one person isn't just getting something.. But two people are. I think it's only fair to do this when you are in a relationship.. To be able to not only communicate but be able to compromise some-what as well.

In conclusion.. The only advice I could give you is try to talk to him.. Try to come to an understanding so that the both of you are satisfied at the end of the day. If your husband know's that these dolls bring a sense of joy to your life then he should be happy that you are collecting these.. I think you guys just need to try to compromise on things.. Instead of it just being one-sided..

As it seems your husband isn't willing to understand your point of view & is in away is thinking of his own selfish needs some-what in my opinion.. I hope that you guys are able to resolve this situation.. I probably would have done the same thing you had..

But hopefully you guys are able to talk about this & come up with a solution.. Instead of him getting mad at you for purchasing a doll & then him being allowed to go & gamble with the money the two of you have.. To me that is not at all fair. I wish you all the best of luck.

Wish you luck dear, and enjoy your dolls. I only buy books for my hubby. I am a seller on ebay mostly.

Only time I ever ordered something from ebay and not tell my husband was a picture of his favorite football player. It took some doing so he didn't find out. It was suppose to be a Christmas present. I was going to get it and hide it til Christmas. Unfortuantely, Something happened and we had to leave before it arrived. So when we got back he found it. It wasn't fun trying to get the picture. There was somebody else on ebay that was trying also to get everything with this guy on it. I had to email him to say hey, let me have something. But he was very happy to see it.

You and your husband needs to sit down and really talk. You need to let him know his gambling is getting on your nerves and he needs to do the same with your doll buying. I don't gamble or bet, the fear of losing money is to great. And if your very unlucky, it's even worse. So really talk to him about it. Maybe you two can see it both ways.
