queen and history of music

Queen is awesome..and your right the world of music suffered a great loss when Mercury died.

actually it doesnt surprise me that a 27yrd old ignores their music. for that matter has that person ever actually HEARD any of Queen's music?

unfortunatly, classic rock is going the way of real country. its being forgotten, even though it still influences todays artists...whether or not they realize or recognize it.

Musicians often site queen as one of thier influences, and although they sold millions of records, todays kids just arnt interested in real music from the days gone by, the would rather listen to artists who have a hit one minute and appear on The surreal life the next

:) I love Queen. Queen was and is my favorite for years. First I get it all on tape, than on CD, now I have it all in my computer.

I like Queen too. I think they wrote some amazing songs, and their showmanship was incredible. I always heard that the reson Freddy's voice was sp different was his mouth's shape. I can't remember if he hasd too many teeth or too few in his mouth but it was something like that. Does anyone know?

I do know whatever it was, he refused to have it 'fixed' because he thought it might change his voice's sound.

Well, I don't like Queen so much because I listen to another kind of music, but I agree with you, they are really part of the history of music.
Their music was original and eclectic, the musicians were very skilled musicians and Freddy Mercury was simple wonderful, fantastic, gorgeous!
Yes, it's strange and a little sad, it's a pity that people could forget such a group like Queen.
