Who would you like to see as a guest judge on American Idol?  

Why not Whitney? She is now free of crack, right? She was diva longer than Madonna, until she became drug addict.
Or may be Mariah Carey. Paula's songs never really impressed me, but I'm sure Whitney and Mariah's talents are recognizable.

Diana Ross. I think she would be a character like Paula that could give critism without being too harsh.

I have seen at least one show this year where Paula was not there and I would not be suprised if indeed she was replaced. I would hate to see her go though.

I would love to see Berry Gordy as a guest judges. He,s the creator of the wonderful Motown Records. He know how to find talent :)

It would be awesome to have Mariah Carey as a guest judge one of the episode. That woman has some crazy singing skills man!

I think Paula will stay for several more seasons. IN March 2006, she signed up for 3 more seasons of American Idol which means she will be judging till 2009. They are all getting millions per season anyway and she doesnt have much of a career now except being an AI judge. So I think she will be staying there while it lasts.

I like to see Celine Dion, Mariah Carey or Whitney Houston. I like to see real popular world class singers judging the competition.

Definitely Madonna. She would be direct without being unneccessarily harsh. She may not be the greatest singer in the world but let's face it, she absolutely knows what it takes to sell records. She's always had her finger on the pulse and changes to accommodate the mood at the time. It's not enough to have a great voice. Lots of people have great voices - how many times have you seen someone on American Idol who DOES have a great voice but you just know they're going nowhere? It's the whole package that's required and I think Madonna would be able to spot that.

there's also rumors that mariah will be judging. i'd like stevie wonder or aretha franklin to judge AI
