Do you eat at the kitchen table?  

At our house the kitcken table is mostly used in the morning for eating. After that we usually just eat in the living room, or actually the family room, and watch tv as we eat.

I eat at the dining room table sometimes but not all the time
if I want to see something on tv I need to be by the tv to look at it so I take my plate over where the tv is.

My children sit at the kitchen table to eat I sit in a big chair in the living room.

When we lived in our apartment we ate in the living room, all of the time. Now that we bought a place. We have more room. My kitchen table is actually empty enough to eat on! It is so much nicer. Now, for 'special events' like Super Bowl and other such things it is in front of the TV.

Nope...we don't have a kitchen table big enough. So, we pile on my bed...and some the floor...and eat while watching what is recorded on the DVR.
And even if we had a table big enough to fit seven kids and two adults, our dine in area would not be big enough.
Some of the kids stay in the kitchen eating at the bar. But, mostly we watch the DVR and eat in our room...kids included.

I try to make me and the kids eat at the table. We usually do at breakfast time and dinner time, but for lunch I usually sit at the computer.
We used to eat in the living room, but they made such a mess of the carpet that I have stopped it now.

We eat at the table. I like it. For years I went with out one and we ate on the sofa. But once we got a table it's so nice. We are all eating together and it inspires much more conversation it seems then when we were in the living room. I reckon eating in front of the TV, also didn't help.

Well, I personally like to eat at the table. However in my family I'm usually the only one eating there, everyone else is on the couchwatching the news. I just like it because its more sturdy, and I've always liked eating there. I don't set a place or anything, just plop my meal down and dig in.

If you don't think you're going to use a kitchen table, don't bother!

Most of the time in my home we eat at the kitchen table. This may be because when I cook a meal I want everyone to sit down and take the time to actually taste their food and relax a bit. I do snack at the computer though, I must confess. If you do not think that you will actually sit at the table and eat then I do not think that you should buy one.
