why is coke so addictive  

I don't know. I don't feel coke is addictive.
But I know that coffee is addictive one.

coke, or coca cola has caffeine which is an addictive substance.. caffeine are stimulants that can make you awake even at night.. that is why, most parents wont allow their young children to drink it at night.. except during special occasions, maybe..

coffee also has caffeine.. the good part is, since they are stimulants, you can drink coke or coffee while studying for an exam and have the information stored in your mind quickly, and still "retrievable" even after the examination... trust me, that is based on experience..

by the way, don't mix coke and peanuts while studying! you'll end up studying at the comfort room!!!

almost all sodas have caffein in it plus coke has this secret formula which they have been keeping in a vault for centuries and it is called "X". maybe that is why they call it coke which is short for cocaine.

I drink a lot of coke as well but it's the caffeine free diet stuff. I don't think I'm addicted to it, I just like the taste, and don't really like any other kind of fizzy pop.

Coke and Pepsi are full of caffeine and sugar which like coffee will give you a lift but doesn't last long.

Just try leaving a copper coin in a glass of coke overnight, it really cleans it up nice and shiny , so can you imagine what it is doing to your stomach when taken on a regular basis.

Yes, i think so. I can't pass a day without drinking coke. It makes me feel depressed when I can't drink coke in a day. I am a certified coke addict. Why it's addictive? I don't know, I just like the taste of it, especially with lots of ice on it. Maybe the cola content on it makes it addictive.

I can honestly say that I am addicted to Coke because of the caffiene. I go through withdrawal headaches and get very cranky when I try to "quit". I don't drink coffee because I don't like the taste. It is an extremely addictive stimulant and I definitely would recommend not to get addicted. I have started the process of at least weaning myself down on the amount I drink and then finally switching over to caffiene free.
