It looks like no one has seen "Session 9" so here's the rundown on it... |
|
Session 9 is about a group of men that are hired to clean out an old, closed down insane-asylum, so that it can be made into a new town hall.
As each of them spends more time in the asylum though, their lives begin getting more complicated and strange with each passing day.
One of them stumbles upon recordings of a previous patient being evaluated by one of the doctors. The recordings are labeled Sessions 1...through 9.
Phenomenal movie, at the very least worth a rental on a rainy night.

| icharest (21) | 3 years ago | I'm not sure how widely available it is, but I know that's kind of hard to find.
It came out in 2000, so it's not particularly new or anything.

2. freak369 (3482) | 3 years ago | Session 9 was filmed at Danvers, an abandoned asylum. I saw this movie around the same time we started doing urban exploring and I fell in love with the place. Anyone that likes thrillers will love this movie!

Some ways, it is good if a brilliant movie isnt commercially successful. Then you never have to be afraid of a SEQUEL(booooo)!

| 4. orthodoxheterodox (4) | 3 years ago | Definitely a favorite. At first I expected your typical ghost in the asylum sort of film and with that didn't expect it to be even remotely good. But from beginning to end I was glued to the tube. Absolutely nothing and no one could divert my attention. The ending was nothing short of commoving!

5. Poltergeist08 (132) | 2 years ago | Session 9 really is a gem among all the psychological thrillers that were out in the past few years. It has a unique atmosphere and an interesting concept that was pulled off pretty smoothly. I'm glad I've seen it, one of my Top 10 favourites.

7. baldypriest (284) | 6 months ago | One of my favourite movies ever made. I love that they filmed it on-location. The site it was on, Danvers State Hospital, was demolished not too long ago. I think the atmosphere there helped make the film so phenomenal. Really made it feel real.
