Sony is a very reliable company and they make very good products. That would be my first choice. Panasonic would be another good choice in my opinion. I am not familiar with any of the other brand names. I use my Sony Playstation 2 for watching my dvd movies.

4. rolcam (12507) | 3 years ago | They are all good and very simple to operate. They do not last for ever. You might need to replace yours. They are not too dear, so they are not worth fixing. I watch all my DVDS on my computer.

7. jewel76 (1709) | 3 years ago | Well, i've had JVC and Sony, and they were both good, but the JVC is the top one. The Sony was good, but it's longer to load the movie, and little things like this.

10. superchook (821) | 3 years ago | My husband suggests Thompson or LG, we have had these ones and they have been very reliable and have never had any trouble with them. We have owned plenty of other types in the past eg. Sony, Omni and JVC and have found them not too last very long. So we stick with the Thompson and LG ones. I am not saying these other ones are bad ones but we just didn't have much luck with them ourselves.
