Filling out forms, argh!

Paper forms, not online forms.

I have problems with all types of forms... taxes, government forms, etc.

These aren't identity forms, just forms for putting information about when you worked, where you worked, how much you're owed, etc.

It's over an hour drive and they're only open during the hours where I'm either in class or at work (and if I made it there after school, I'd just barely make it in due to traffic).

I could call, but the problem is that I don't know what to ask. At least when I call the IRS constantly while doing my taxes, I know what to ask. But on these forms, I have no clue. Then they send them back and it tells me what I did wrong. So I send it back. Then I did something else wrong, so they'll send it to me again with another explaination. It just gets very frustrating.

I wish someone could read the form to me. Part of the problem is that I'll put things in the wrong spot. It's all there. A lot of what they keep asking for is on the additional comments page. Nothing they've asked me so far just isn't on there at all.

The answers are things I have to look up, but if I could just pay someone to sit here with me for an hour or two it would help if they were doing the reading and the writing.

I don't even know enough about services down there to suggest a place to snag a helper. hmm.

There is a phone number for the group, but it's hard to talk to them without knowing what to ask. I'll get it done and think I have it right until they send it all back to me and tell me what's wrong. At that point, I'll understand what they tell me and I have no need to call them.

I don't trust my family with my paperwork. They want to do it, but last time they wanted to do my taxes so they'd get my return. I didn't let them after I found that out, and won't let them touch my paperwork ever if I can avoid it.

oh o.k... Family can be annoying. I hope you work it out and get it right I'm sure it is very frustrating for you though...
You'd think they would make forms a little easier to fill out there are so many people out there that have trouble with them....

Oh I know! I could see a lot of ways to better word these forms. I feel for people who have a hard time understanding English and then these forms can't use regular words, but instead use bizarre words you have to look up.
