Do you think soap operas are addictive?

For me know, I find the acting terrible and the story lines so far fetched.

Oh yes, definitely! My husband got completely addicted to a stupid soap opera called Sunset Beach or something like that, and used to get really stroppy if he missed even a second of it. It was really rubbish but for some reason it just drew him in. In the end I put my foot down and refused to let him see it any more. He complained like crazy but had to agree it was just stupid to carry on watching it.

i think they are but im not addicted to them anymore because i sometimes cant watch them anyway and not only that but the story lines take to line to get through so i dont watch it until something happens

Erm.....I'm very sad! I watch eastenders and coronation street.
I'm also addicted to dramas or whatecer you call them....Lost, 4400, CSI. They the ones I can't miss LOL

I dont think that they are addictive. but that may only be my opinion.

Apparently as I have been watching Y&R, and B&B for many years now. And truthfully I have no idea why as the stories tend to be predictable or far fetched but somehow they still draw me in:)

I think soap operas can be very addictive. I watch 3 of them every day, and have been watching them for almost 38 yrs now. The ones I watch are Days Of Our Lives, As The World Turns, and Guiding Light. I started watching them as a child, with my grandmother, in the summertime.

Yes, yes, yes I think they are very addictive, I am living proof. When I was about 16 years old I had a girlfriend who I use to hang out with and everyday at 1:00 she would announce that she had to go in the house and watch her stories. That left me with no one to hang out with. So one day I decided to see what all the hoopla was about and started to watch All my children, One live to live, General Hospital. And I was hooked. I don't care where I was, what I was doing, I had to get home in time for those soaps. Don't really know how I broke the habit, but I can tell you, I wouldn't watch another soap as long as I live. There I must stand corrected. I am a Desperate Housewife fan. lol
