Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (question)  

ok, so i'm on the web looking at the manga for a series that i'm watching (Naruto). There are some series that i like the manga better, and there are some where i am dead Regarding Enchantments.

I'm just getting into enchantments. It was always so confusing to me with Morrowind, so I skipped it. Never did beat that game. Not very user friendly.

Anyway, I'm now getting into enchantments. And want to use my armor for some resistances.

What's the difference betwene being fire resistant and spell resistant?

If I have 100% spell absorption, why would I need any percentage fire resistance? Or shock, or frost? Or poison?

Poison maybe. But I want an answer from someone who's knowledgable in the subject. Don't just guess.

I need someone who knows for sure. What's the difference?
