| |  Hi,
If you have the latest version of Oracle then LOB type of column is best used for images, sounds and video.
However the application used to access this multimedia information must understand the LOB type of columns in order display the data.
I have not see any application that uses LOB columns, but I am sure application developed using oracle Development tool should have the capability.
There are pro and cons to using LOB column but I will reserve that discussion for later if needed.
