|  i am about to make an anime site with collected vids from google video and youtube....what i need to is should i put dubbed english or subbed japanese shows on my site.
my site will have the animes

deathnote

tenchi muyo
yu yu hakuso

and alot more........

| |  If you can I think you should try to put only japanese subbed episodes because personally I don't like dubbed anime, I think it loses a lot of its essense when we take away its original voices.

| |  I think subbed is better... dubbed sometime isn't very good.
put two sections is a good idea yeah! and you should but a manga section and a review section...
And if you can put anime's songs (OP/ED)I think it could be great \o/

| |  yeah, putting two sections is better. there are people who like english-subbed, like me, and there are people who like english-dubbed. so people can choose. yeah.. putting anime songs will be great too! your site visitors will be looking for that.

| |  well, its hard to find any of those that much on free streaming sites. English versions are a lot harder because of the US Copyright laws. most English versions of the shows that are placed on the site are normally deleted in a short time. actually, acording to YouTube guidlines, all copywritten matieral are not allowed on the site. so you will have some problems because you'll have to keep the videos monitored making sure they didn't get deleted. I suggest you only upload episodes and anime you have to your own server. and YouTube and other sites normally have an upload limit of 100mb which of course cannot hold a full episode which is why most people who do upload split this up into several parts. I suggest looking for episodes on GUBA which there are a lot of full episodes and even movies on there and some are also available for download, they're upload amount is much higher then most other streaming sites. And also, shows like Death Note, don't have an english dubbing yet, so for those there's really no choice.

| |  It depends on whether the subs you have are fansubs or the official subs. Fan subs tend to be very poor in translation and differ vastly from one episode to the next. That's my major complaint when it comes to subs. I tend to stay away from them unless I know they're the actual licensed translations. Older dubs can be just as bad but the recent dubs are accurate and well done.

| |  To make everyone happy, I'd say to put both of them on. Some people would love to hear the original actors speaking in japanese, and others would get tired of reading. I believe that you'd get more hits on your website if you offered both. Best of luck to ya, and when you get the website up, please let us know. I really enjoy Tenchi and some of the links on youtube won't work for me.
