Well if the owner was around i would give it to them. If i were to take any i probably wouldn't be able to sleep that night. Besides i'm already rich!

I feel the same way I could not live with myself . The most I ever found was $100,00. And I did track the person down even though it was on the ground. I did think about it for a minute but my concision got the best of me.

I have trouble even thinking about finding an owner even if I find a small amount of money on the ground. However, with $500, I might ask around to see if anyone last the cash, but if no one says so, I'd probably keep it. I mean, I sort of feel if they are that irresponsible to lose that amount of money, then they really don't deserve it.

Ah, I don't think I could be tempted to keep five hundred dollars, maybe five thousand...just kidding. I would probaly put an add in the newspapers and shops to find the owner of the money. I would night also inform the local police, just in case the money had been stolen. If I couldn't find the owner, then I would give the money to charity, as I couldn't keep it, knowing that I hadn't earned it.

believe it or not, dispite what I feel like doing, which is try to find the owner, I've heard for something like $500.00, I've heard it's best just to keep it.

I know exactly what I would do if I found a lot of money on my on the street......I would try to find the owner, If I couldn't I would take it to police department and turn it over to lost and found...Then If no one claimed it at the police department it would be turned back over to me and it would be mine.....

Onces I found a six hundred dollar pay roll check at the State Capital Building in Illinois and I took it back to the company who issued it and turned it in to them...

Yes, that kind of money I'd have to turn in. It's not that much in the grand scheme of things, but to someone it could be their world. Maybe it means the difference between their keeping their home and losing it, via a mortgage payment, maybe it means their kids do or don't eat this month. I couldn't have that on my conscience. Less than $100 I'd probably keep though, in all honesty.

I would probably turn $500 in to the police. If it isn't claimed, I would get it. If it were a smaller amout, I wouldn't bother.

I would try to find the owner. If no id to be found, that much money, I would go to the police and list it as lost and found. Blessings, M&M

Unless I was rich and had all the money in the world then I'd keep it. $500 isn't a lot of money. It's not like a few thousand even though I'd keep that too if I found it. Finders, Keepers. If someone can't keep better track of their money then it's their fault for losing it. Bet they'd never leave it sitting around again.
