Do you think they will ever have ANTM for either teens or over 30? |
|
I think that would be pretty good if they did... I personally would like to see my daughter on there -- haha -- okay, I'm biased. She is so beautiful though. I'll try to post a pic of her and you can see for yourself... Anyway... an over 30 ANTM would be cool too. What do you think?

1. sweetangel88 (2114) | 3 years ago | I think that would be nice. I don't know they ever would. This is one of my favorite shows. I think they look for women that are 18 to I don't remember what age and tall.

Kalikala (392) | 3 years ago | Your daughter is lovely:)
However, I wouldn't like to see teenage girls in this kind of competition. If girls in their twenties have trouble handling the work and the pressure and the criticism, it worries me how younger girls would take it.

| fallenangelmom (50) | 3 years ago | thanks - and yes, I agree very much about having to think of how it would affect young girls, it could be harmful to their own well being. On another note, I think that Tyra is trying to save young girls from that "model image" that has been so damaging to their own image of themselves. Have you seen these shows that she has done on how society is contributing to eating disorders and such, I think she is doing a wonderful thing there. Yes, though, I agree that it may not be a good thing for "young" next top models. Thanks for the good post.

| 2. ZimaMcHotpants (51) | 3 years ago | The models might be more successful if they allowed 16+ girls to be on. The really successful models begin modeling when they are 14-15, hitting it big by the time they are 18-19. The girls on the show only begin modeling after they've hit their prime, which means they probably wont make it big.

3. kimberlyjt (939) | 3 years ago | older women would be good, but i am not sure if there is a market for that. if an ad company needs a mature woman they usually go with who they know; retired model or actress. it is much easier for teens to get into the model industry, and i think children should not have high profile, exhausting, careers, they should just focus on their studies. it would be nice if there was one for short women, not every woman is 5'7 or taller

| 4. LadyViper (24) | 3 years ago | I don't think either would do too well. There isn't a huge market for models over 30, but there is some call for them. Putting a child under 16 or 17 in a reality show setting could really hurt them over a lifetime. Besides, you would have just as much chance getting her into modeling by mailing agencies as you would getting her on a reality show.
