how much ciggerate should i smoke so that i m not gets effected

i used to smoke 6 or 8 cigeratte one day my friends told me that it may get effect to your lungs but i don;t care Is he saying right

Your lungs get effected even if you smoke only one per day. Of course it's better to smoke less, but the best is to quit completely.
