the last mp3 player i bought cost 5 quid.256mb,brand new.its amazing how cheap this stuff has got.i only listen to radio online now,and dont even have a stereo system anymore.this thing does it all.bought a fancy speaker system for it c/w sub woofer.ace.classic fm is good and i have it on on a sunday.

Yeah, I always listen to the music I have downloaded or copied from my CDs when I am on the computer. It is much better than listening to what others may call music.

i like listening to mine to and in the exact order i want.thats the great thing about the media and mp3 players.cd,s are all packed away now.

isnt an 80gbs one just a bit big on the capacity front.thats a jukebox that.the last 256mb mp3 player i bought in tesco cost 5 quid.basic but ideal for the car.

was thinking about an ipod but i was put off by the price.my mp3 players seem to do the same job,and i can use them in the car,at a fraction of the price.

your one sounds about 3 times the size of mine.i think i only get about 80 tracks on it.you are right,they eat batteries up at some rate.my recharger is on constantly.

desert, I charge my digital mp3 on my computer....which I am doing right now because I used it all up listenting to a UEFA Cup football game. No batteries necessary.

i never had a walkman or a discman either.i was a radio freak before i got my computer and now im a gadgets freak.i used to listen to a station here that was big on oldies to,but now i dont bother.

It's not "oldies" jimbo.. it's "80's, 90's, and whatever". lol! "Oldies" to me are 50's and 60's tunes. And I get enough teasing about being "old" by a certain someone, just because I'm a whopping 22 months "older" than he is. Geez! ENOUGH ON THE AGE THING ALREADY!! :P roflmao!!! ;)

karen,to me oldies are anything before 1998.thats when decent dance music exploded here.old skool is like 89 - 97.

Yes, that's true; age is a state of mind. I really don't feel THAT old (most of the time lol)... and it really doesn't bother me when I get bugged about it (at least that's what I'll say now, then maybe he'll stop b/c it's no longer fun hahaha!).

i thought you were skint.arent ipods expensive,they are here.our mp3 players are basic.ive seen much better ones,but ours do the job.anyway,if your just listening to morrisey,you wouldnt need a good player.you,d need ear plugs

4 gig.that must hold some amount of tunes.how does it fix itself,it must be quite clever.ive never heard music on an ipod so i havent a clue about them.

I dont know how it fixes itself, I think it is actually quite clever, I think it must have an IQ of about 140 or so although I havent given it the test yet. It does hold a fair amount of tunes but some ipods hold waaay more, like 30 gigs.

my mp3 player holds 80.its not to clever but is quite simple to operate.your one must indeed have a high iq

So I presume you mean it holds 80 tracks? I thought you meant gigs. I havent use mine in a while, I keep meaning to bring it into work but forget every day. I wonder if it still works, I think sometimes leaving it unused for a while gives it a chance to fix itself if its about to break so its proabably a good thing.

i use the one in the car nearly every day.the one in the house only gets used at bedtime,with the chocolate.helps sets the mood

ipod and bose.you must be rich indeed.the sound quality bose provides is the best.i got a demo once,but when the guy told me how much,i nearly fainted.playlists are important,and like you,i have a few.outside the bedroom,my fav playlist is a dance music one i have for the car in the summer.
