| | Any medium is good enough for me as long as I can hear music. However, it has to be music of my choice so the radio is out....as is MTV, MCM and VH1.....only if they are reliving the oldies. I have a cheap SM300 digital MP3/WMA player which does just fine....it plays all the music I love over and over and over again. Only use the FM radio to listen to the football games....and in the break usually listen to the classical station. | | | | | | |

| | Yeah, I always listen to the music I have downloaded or copied from my CDs when I am on the computer. It is much better than listening to what others may call music. | | | |

| | I am so far behind the times. Crap... I don't even have a walkman anymore.. remember those? That's right.. BEFORE discmans. lol! I think I might have some small FM radio players with earphones... but I never think to use them. Even at home, I'm mostly listening to the radio. Ah yes, stuck in the 80's am I... when it comes to music anyways. LOL! I have a favourite in town music station, and although I get bugged about it by a certain someone I know, I don't waiver (much). Every radio in my home is tuned to that same station. LOL. | | | | | | |

| | It's not "oldies" jimbo.. it's "80's, 90's, and whatever". lol! "Oldies" to me are 50's and 60's tunes. And I get enough teasing about being "old" by a certain someone, just because I'm a whopping 22 months "older" than he is. Geez! ENOUGH ON THE AGE THING ALREADY!! :P roflmao!!! ;) | | | |

| | Queen, age is only a state of mind. For me the oldies go back to the 40's as well. | | | |

| | karen,to me oldies are anything before 1998.thats when decent dance music exploded here.old skool is like 89 - 97. gifana,ive got a lot of stuff that pre dates 1940. | | | |

| | Other than some orchestral classical music, the oldest music genre I have is some big bands tunes... on LP of course. :) Yes, that's true; age is a state of mind. I really don't feel THAT old (most of the time lol)... and it really doesn't bother me when I get bugged about it (at least that's what I'll say now, then maybe he'll stop b/c it's no longer fun hahaha!). | | | |

| | I don't think any one mp3 player is better than the other. It all depends on your own personal preferences and what you need. Now... I have an iPod and I LOVE it! | | | | | | |

| | I have a 4 gig mp3 player make- creative. Its lasted me well Ive had it a couple of years or so now, although sometimes it breaks for a while but it always fixes itself. I have listened to my dad and brother's ipods, and although i find the clicky wheel things annoying, the sound way much better on it than mine, although I suppose the ipods were twice the price of my mp3 player. | | | | | | |
jimbo45 (9380)

| | 4 gig.that must hold some amount of tunes.how does it fix itself,it must be quite clever.ive never heard music on an ipod so i havent a clue about them. | | | |
spikey_monkey (238)
|

| | I dont know how it fixes itself, I think it is actually quite clever, I think it must have an IQ of about 140 or so although I havent given it the test yet. It does hold a fair amount of tunes but some ipods hold waaay more, like 30 gigs. | | | |
jimbo45 (9380)

| | So I presume you mean it holds 80 tracks? I thought you meant gigs. I havent use mine in a while, I keep meaning to bring it into work but forget every day. I wonder if it still works, I think sometimes leaving it unused for a while gives it a chance to fix itself if its about to break so its proabably a good thing. | | | |

| | I love my iPod and couldn't live without it! I have a great receiver to plug it into the car, and I have a Bose speaker dock in the living room and in the bedroom. The Bose sound cannot be beat- if you haven't tried it, you would be amazed!! I have spent a lot of time arranging playlists on the iPod to fit any particular mood or occasion. As I'm sure Jimbo will know, the playlist for the living room when I'm cleaning might be different from the evening "bedroom version". I also like having my own music with me when I travel. | | | | | | |

| | I own an Ipod and a RCA 512meg MP3 player. I bought the RCA because that was the only way I could download unlimited songs from Napster's subscription service. That way the 3 people in my household can download whatever they want for not alot of money. I would say only buy the Ipod if you are really attached to Itunes otherwise I don't think it is worth the extra money. There are so many MP3 players for less money that have all the same features. | | | | | | |
