What was the most unusual recipe you have ever tried?

I know there are a lot of cultures with recipes that would seem unusual to others but I mean what was the most unusual recipe you have ever tried or come up with? Something you have never heard of before until you tried it? if you can please share the recipe, I would like to see and try some new things, it would be cool to see what others have come up with in their kitchen experiments

I tried cooking a chinese dish with star anise. I did not realize that the anise has a very strong aroma and taste. I did not mind keeping the recipe because I didn't like the dish. Sorry.
