Recommend good voice recognition software?

For various physical reasons, it's getting harder to type. A few years ago, I tried Dragon Naturally Speaking but it just wasn't accurate enough. Does anyone know if it's better these days? Or is there another that's good? Three sentences and I have to rest my hands. Not a good thing for a writer of novels like myself. It feels like I'm still working on an old fashioned typewriter, even though I have this great laptop computer.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

My partner suggests an IBM ViaVoice, a friend of his used it to get him through university and it is very good indeed. Hope this helps.

Thanks. That and Dragon seem to be the two I've heard of. I'll look into it.

It still needs training to your voice, but it's gotten much better than it was a few years ago.

I have a hard time typing, too, because of my cerebral palsy. I hate voice recognition software because I hate not being able to type along with my TV or music. If you find any good leads, esprcially ones which filter background noise let me know.

I got Dragon Naturally Speaking version 9 but I haven't had time to fully train it yet. I don't know about filtering though, sorry.
