Ikea wooden worktops  | |  Has anyone got wooden worktops from Ikea?
I have a relatively small budget (whats left after massive building costs!) and was thinking about buying theirs. But wondered if, when it comes to it, they rate poorly when compared to others - and I would be better off saving the money and getting something better.
All thoughts appreciated. Also, if you got wooden worktops from somewhere else would you recommend them?

| | | | | | | | 1.  teison2 (4765) | 3 years ago |  Wooden woorktops from IKEA are just fine. There's nothing wrong with them. In my opinion you should just go for them. Just treat them right, and they'll be just as good as any other wooden worktop.

| | 2.  buenavida (1403) | 3 years ago |  We often think that if something is cheap, it must be of poor quality. Ikea does not save in quality but in other costs. You have to do some work yourself to put your furniture together and in that way you save the cost for someone else to do it.
The founder of Ikea, Ingvar Kamprad just has started a way to make good quality that does not need to cost a fortune.
