What is you favorite song from the 80's?  

Oh there are lots! But I love "We Built This City" and "Everybody wants to rule the world." There are also several country songs from the 80s that I love.

tough one - there's a lot. right up there at the top would probably be 'enjoy the silence' by depeche mode.

One of my favorite songs from the 80"s would have to be Pink Houses by John Cougar Mellencamp. I really love all of his music but I think this is one of his better songs. I like his kind of Country rock That is the way I see it any way. he is very easy to listen to.

U2's "With or Without You"
Kim Carnes' "Bette Davis Eyes"

I like them both for different reasons, one reminds me of my mom and the long road trips we used to take to visit my grandparents, the other reminds me of my boyfriend and how years ago we felt the same indecision Bono sings about in this song.

omg ... i don't even remember which song was made in what year ... I like alot of the older songs...some of my favorutes are from the Beach Boys all their songs were just awesome to listen to back then and still are today ...love their song Cocomo ..thats my all time favorite song ...of course i was just a kid back in the eighties ...lol but I have always listened to country music my self ...so i am more into the older country songs ..like redneck girl ..was an all time favorite of mine too ...

Absolutely, hands down. It's 'The Superbowl Shuffle" sung by my very own 1986 Superbowl Champions and Monsters of the Midway Chicago Bears. It was such great fun to sing. My cousin and I still watch it every year when footbal season starts, if only to see Walter Payton, alive and well!
Other than that, anything by Prince, especially Purple Rain.

"Talk of the Town" by Pretenders. From the intro chords through the "Maybe tomorrow, maybe someday" chorus, this is a great tune with great lyrics. The song combines the edge of new wave with the 80's pop sound. Chrissie Hynde's voice is also wonderful.

Tears for Fears' "Everybody wants to Rule the World" is a close second. Special mention also for "Promises, Promises" by Naked Eyes, "Running up that Hill" by Kate Bush and "Rock the Casbah" by the Clash.

There are so many that I like I couldn't even begin to say which one was my favorite as I have lots! I do like Eclipse of the Heart, that is one on my list. They made alot of wonderful love songs...and my favorite rock band is Def Leppard. I can't get enough of there music!!
